Game of Thrones star Kit Harington (Jon Snow) has been cast to portray the the villain. This time in Activision’s next entry in their Call of Duty series, Infinite Warfare.
We are going to see Harington play the face of the Settlement Defense Front. The SDF is a radical organisation that wants to destroy Earth.
Harington, mostly known as a Game of Thrones star, had scenes directed by Snatch director Guy Ritchie (Sherlock Holmes). He has worked in the franchise before. “It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be,” said Dave Stohl, Infinity Ward’s studio head. “We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public.”
“Guy Ritchie is a friend of the franchise. So it was great to have him back to work with us, assisting in bringing Kit Harington’s character to life in Infinite Warfare,” added Dave Stohl, studio head, Infinity Ward.
“Kit is an amazing talent, and the consummate pro,” said Infinity Ward narrative director Taylor Kurosaki. “Our story is about an epic showdown of opposing forces. Kit immersed himself into the role and truly became the embodiment of the enemy, the Settlement Defense Front. We can’t wait for fans to see Kit play an entirely different kind of character.”
On June 11, Saturday, Game of Thrones star Harington revealed on Instagram that he is currently working on the hugely well known first-person shooter game.
In the video clip he shared, the actor sports a motion capture hardware suit at a studio.
Infinity Ward head Dave Stohl added, “It meant a lot to us to develop the role into everything it could be. We’re excited about the performance Kit delivered and can’t wait to get it out to the public. We’re committed to delivering a compelling story with rich character depth, and this was a special opportunity to add to our fantastic cast.”
The official Twitter account of COD confirmed Harington’s role by posting a short video of him in a motion capture suit. The wrote: “Go behind the scenes to see the face of the enemy with this sneak peek from the #InfiniteWarfare motion capture set.”

Previously, actor Kevin Spacey (House of Cards) appeared as the main antagonist in Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare released in 2014.
The game franchise has long featured Hollywood voice talent, featuring famous actors. Some those include Samuel L Jackson, Sigourney Weaver, Jeff Goldblum and John Malkovich.
Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare will be available 4 November 2016.
Infinite Warfare is the upcoming thirteenth primary installment in the Call of Duty series. It is set to be released for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
The game was first revealed in May. The title’s first trailer features the franchise’s signature fast-paced military combat, large-scale battles and epic set pieces.
